About
Chloe Tucker (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist originally from Rhode Island. She holds a BFA in Illustration from Lesley University College of Art and Design in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and an MFA in Visual Studies at Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon as well.
Chloe enjoys working in multiple mediums such as printmaking, installation, digital media, and painting. She is always open to exploring new processes, mediums, and techniques. Painting and printmaking have been her main medium of choice as of late. She has experience in graphic design, digital and traditional illustration, brand building, all mediums of painting, and traditional printmaking techniques such as screen printing, relief printing, and etching.
Her work is influenced greatly by surrealist painters and illustrators, exploring reality but creating her own interpretation of it based on personal anecdote and current events. Some of her topics of interest include our environmental crisis, the biblical apocalypse, nostalgia and digital ephemera. She enjoys employing color and humor as vehicles of expression in her work, trying varied techniques and methods while applying color theory to creating visually engaging images.
Currently, Chloe is enjoying teaching and mentoring while also engaging in a personal art practice of her own.
